Chinese SKS Problems
Hello,
I am new to all this. I just bought an SKS from a friend facing hard times. It has a foldable stock, pistol grip, and some type of extended magazine.
On empty, (no shells) the bolt does not stay in the open possition. Is that due to a worn magazine? All else seems well.
Thanks for any help.

Most of the aftermarket extended magazines will not push the bolt stop up. Return to the original, or the Chinese 20 round box magazine, and it will hold open just fine. 0 -
Its the aftermarket magazine, put the orginal one back in and you should be fine. 0 -
Extended magazines in any SKS with the exception of the ones that were made to take AK magazines are useless. As mentioned before put the factory one back in or find a Chinese 20 round internal magazine.
