left hand safety
I'm looking for a 20ga.,semi-auto shotgun,28"barrel w/screw in chokes and left hand safety. It seems that all of the currently mfg. shotguns do not offer left hand safeties. I know the older Remingtons were convertible from rt to left by simplie changing the safety button. Were any of these Remingtons available with screw in chokes and if so what were the models and mfg. years?

What about a tang safety?
And,
Welcome to the forum! I'm sure some real shotgun nuts will be along shortly with all kinds of good advice.[:D]0 -
Not sure of the semis, but mossberg pumps have the safety on the tang 0 -
Browning BPS is also a pump and has tang safety as well as screw in chokes. Bottom eject so great for either right or left hand shooters. [:)][^] 0 -
Don't Remington 1100's come in a left hand version ? 0 -
I am left handed and I personally don't like left hand safty's. To me it is dangerous to be unsure which way a particular gun is safe. I feel they should be one way or a different design, such as the tang safty.(I like them) 0 -
I got my first Rem 1100 in
1972 or 73 and the safety
if I call was not reversible
and hasn't been since then.
My Rem 742 -1972 version
wasn't reversible either0 -
I believe Benelli makes left handed semi-auto 20's. I run accross a 12 ga version every so often. 0 -
Welcome. The Rem 1100/11-87 safeties can be converted to left hand. I would suggest taking it to a gunsmith able to get the factory(Rem) drawings for the conversion. It is not that difficult. Good luck. 0
