Old Rifle Scope

Acquired a rifle with a scope marked "J J Fecker #3050". Can anyone tell me about this scope?

    Pretty sure that the #3050 is a serial number, not a model#, so you will have to give us any other info you can find (should have magnification stamped on it). Also the size of the tube and length of the scope.
    Feckers were very high quality scopes and are collectible today.

    It should read "J.W. Fecker" he normally did not mark the power on his scopes.

    They are great scopes. Were produced to compete with Unertl and Lyman Target Spot scopes. Most were the 24" in length and used primarly on 22 Target rifles like the Winchester 52

    They are indeed great scopes. Except Unertl and Lyman came along to compete with Fecker.

    I wish this story could be a sticky on this forum, but alas, it's not. Having shot a couple and a few Unertls too, you'd know why if you did.

    Sandwarrior, that's a great article on Fecker ! I have owned only one Fecker in my life and it was mounted on a Winchester Model 75. On the other hand, I have owned so many Unertl's and Lymans that I can't remember them all. They were mounted on mostly old Winchester Model 70's, 52's, 75's, etc. Guns where the scope mounted on the barrel. Just the other day, I was wondering why I sold my pre-war Model 70 in 22 Hornet with Unertl scope. WHAT WAS I THINKING ?
