Need help with a serial #

Hi. I was hoping if someone could give me information regarding a Remington 1100 serial # N987047V
Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you

  You may call or email Remington with model & serial #, and give you the info.(remington.com)

  Remington does not publish its serial numbers. The barrel codes will help though if it has the original barrel on it. At the top of the experts topics list is a serial number reference guide. Click on it and then the Remington Arms reference. That's about the best reference you will find.

  Are you trying to determine the DOM using the serial number? If so, the serial number is of little use. Instead, look for the 2-digit (or possibly 3-digit) letter code on the left side of the barrel near the receiver frame.
