Remington 11 Bolt Stains

Bolt is out of an older model 11. Will the stains polish out? Can they be removed by some other method?

  Judging from your image (it's not a very good one), your bolt has suffered light corrosion. In other words, what you see as staining is n reality very minute rust pitting.
  I've cleaned up a few of my 11 bolts with a judicious hand polish after a short soak in Brownells Steel White.
