Does anyone know of a source for them ??

  Eagle used to or still does make 'em, I've seen them at wally world.
  
  You could also maybe take 2 metal mags and TIG weld 'em together, then use a longer spring out of a FAL mag or similar.

  10 rounds--CDNN is selling them. Can't say how well they work but I bought 4 just in case.

  Just how many rounds do you think could go thru that barrel before it gets red hot?

  Well, I couldn't MAKE an M-1 barrel get red hot - top of the receiver, but not the barrel.
  
  Maybe if one could do a hundred in a minute ??
