Problem-Win. model 74

The safety wont move off of safe and the bolt will only open about 3/8 of an inch. This is an otherwise mechanically sound gun. Any suggestions?

  This is an older semi 22, correct? I'm not familiar with them, but there's a fellow on You Tube that shows a teardown of the gun and bolt, seemed to be fairly detailed. Maybe something in the vid will help?

  Thanks for the info. This gun cannot even come apart until I get it somehow off of SAFE. The safety will not budge. It is unloaded, and decocked.

  Put a drop of penetrating oil on the safety and let it sit over night just to be sure its not rusted or crudded up inside.
