Consecutive serial numbers on 1894 Winchesters

OK, so I first have to say I don't have two 94's with consecutive numbers. What if someone had two like 1930 Model 94's and they had consecutive numbers. Besides being a conversation piece, would they have any extra value?

    For me, it would depend if there is evidence that they were originally purchased and used as a pair by an individual or organization (ranch, etc.), became seperated over the years and are now reunited.

    Yes, Consecutive pairs are considered by some collectors as a "pair". I think they should definitly bring a premium.

    To some they would be little more than a curosity, to the right guy they might bring a significant premium. The collecting world is far from a cut and dried affair. I have a collector friend who collects guns with serial numbers ending in 00. If he finds one ending in 000 to him it is a real treasure.

    I am of the same mind as JohhnyBGood. If originally ordered as a pair, it has more significance. Random consecutive serial numbers are just that.

    To most any collector, consecutive numbered guns are more collectable, than single guns. That is even a stronger draw if the guns can be documented that they were ordered as a pair, or are a pair out of a lot in a single shipment to one destination. If they are twins, and a special order then they really have a big significance, and if they are a special order for someone of significance, then you are sitting on a gold mine....but all must have appropriate doccumentation.
