REMINGTON MODEL 141
I need to know if anyone has ever made a scope mount for a rem model 141 that doesn't involve having a gunsmith drill holes for mounting?

Remingtons manufactured after 1921 have a code located on the left side of the barrel identifying year & month. To get a copy of the code, search http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes. Codeword is blackpowderx. [^]Eddie 0 -
Was made from 1935 to 1950 serial number range 001 to 78000 so yours was mid production like elubsme said the letter codes on the barrel will tell the dates it will be two or three letters 0 -
I used to have one years ago. Back then I had to make casings out of 30/30 brass. Nowadays, you can get 30 Remington brass from Buffalo Arms.

The fellow I made the purchase from has a few boxes he is suppose to find for me. He had only pulled a few items to sell, and had not looked for the ammo. I'm suppose to meet up with him in a week or so to pick up the ammo.
I'll check out the markings on the barrel and see what I can come up with compaired to the website.
Thank you all for the responses.

Thanks for the link to BLACKPOWDERX...
It seems the 141 I have was produced in August of 1946. The code was WRR.0
