Colt XS Lightweight Commander
I recently purchased a Colt XS Lightweight Commander. It is in excellent condition with the only real marks are scratches on the rear sights from a sight pusher. It has the original box. I bought it as a shooter but found out that they were made for only 6 months. Should I shoot it, or if it is valuable, sell it and buy something I don't have to worry about diminishing it's value? Any info would be appreciated. Farmer Dave

Shoot it.

welcome farmer dave,
it sounds like the gun has already been shot, so it's not a collectible, just a rarer commander version. shoot it and take good care of it and you'll likely be able to sell it, down the road, for more than you paid.

Enjoy it.Take care of it,you will probably recoup your money plus if you decide to sell it.IMO 0 -
Mind if I ask what you paid? I'm considering one and the seller is asking $1600 which seems quite high to me. It's the XS not the XSE.

shoot it, looking for one myself either in comander or goverment size
i prefer the 1911 old style myself prefebly series 70, when i find one it will be a shooter,0 -
