colt barrel wick

Does anyone know were I can get one for my sp1? Called colt and they do not sell them. The gun is new in box with everything but the barrel wick.

  What is a barrel wick?
  
  I have a NIB Colt AR and there is nothing in there that I would call a barrel wick.

  It's a lolly pop stick impregnated with an anti-rust compound. Colt used ship AR's with them in bore, along with a plastic muzzle protector.

  I've seen some that were just a long piece of light brown/tan colored chemically impregnated paper rolled into a loose tube and pushed into the bore.
  
  Don't know what they currently use, but USGI rifles were shipped with this type.

  My was a cardboard tube, kind of like the ones you can buy at some arts and crafts stores, covered with something like CLP.
