Does anybody else find it strange that so many questions about Winchester 94s and 1894s are from Starting Members?

    Did you ever stop to consider that there are more Winchester Model 1894 and 94s on the face of the planet than there are any other sporting firearm? The internet is a truly amazing tool, and it has enabled me to reach out to literally thousands of people in my quest to discover more information concerning Winchester firearms.

    Now, as for you glabray... I know exactly where you are trying to go with this, as you have accused me more than once in the past of posting under multiple pseudonyms... your paranoia utterly astounds me! Why not be an honest man and admit who you really are, and what your agenda really is? Hiding behind the laughable false name of "truthful" just proves my point about your weak character. Attempting to cast doubt where none exists is a sign of a mental illness.

    While you undoubtedly will not believe a single word I have to say, there are at least (40) members of this forum who have either met me in person, or have spoken with me on the phone. I use just ONE name (and unlike you, I use my actual name) when I correspond on this forum as well as several others. You might take a lesson from my example.

    As a last comment, are you aware that everytime you post on this forum (or anywhere else on the internet for that matter), you leave an electronic signature that can be identified and traced? It is called an IP address, and it uniquely identifies who and where you are. Fortunately for you, only the Admin people on Gunbroker have the requisite access rights to see your IP Address. If you insist on your current line of attack, I will find out what it is though, and I will expose you for the deceitful person that you are.

    Gosh Bert, is he suggesting you pose as beginning members and post questions under assumed names so you can answer them and look like an expert?

    Hmmmm, yeah I can see how a genuine expert might want to do that to enhance his credibility. I mean it is not like you work for a living, write articles on Winchesters or do anything else to occupy your empty existence. Oh, wait, that is him!

    So to sum up Truthful, yep you are the only one who finds it strange. The rest of us find you strange.

    I've met Bert at the local gun show and can assure you he is exactly who he says he is--and he truly IS a Winchester expert.

    Well,I for one, being a truthful man, always thought that because of the vast numbers of model 1894/94s in this country, lots of them are being inherited by non-gun types or people who have been raised on other types of rifles. So, where is the best place to learn about these rifles? I would think Gungroker forums would be the source. I have learned much here thanks to Bert H., cartod, bobski, and a few others. Thanks guys from someone with only one identity.[:)]

    So, what is your question about Winchester 94s and 1894s? From what I have read and learned on this site, the REAL Bert H can answer it...oh, wait, there is only ONE REAL Bert H! I don't know him personally but considering all of his posts I have read, I really don't think he has either the time or desire to play silly little mind games.

    As a beginning member, I have found this forum an extremely valuable resource. Over the last two or three years, I have called on Bert to answer questions and to help me evaluate old Winchesters. I have always found him to be incredibly generous with his time and knowledge as are many others who post regularly on this forum.

    The internet is littered with useless forums and message boards populated by posters who seem to have nothing better to do than attempt to create dissension. I hope we never have the same experience. To Bert and all the others who provide so much valuable information in this forum... Thank you!

    I just have to jump in on this post!

    I have had many questions answered by Bert H. about several of the Winchesters that I own. Believe it or not, on one occasion, Bert did not have an answer for me. He did not hesitate to say that he didn't know and was at a loss to tell me where I might find the answer.

    I have spent the majority of my working career in positions requiring me to deal with factual information. I have developed a keen sense of telling when someone is "blowing smoke" and identifying people with an ego problem.

    Bert H. does not have an ego problem, nor does he "blow smoke"! In my opinion, Bert H. is simply searching for truth and factual information about Winchester firearms and would have no need to make phony posts.

    IMHO, if the administrators can link the usernames "truthful", and "glabray", to the same IP address, then that computor should be banished from and form of Gunbroker communication, along with the idiot behind it.

    On another thread, he gave information that was blatenly incorrect, and verymuch like George Midas...blowing smoke to try and pat himself on the shoulder.
