Still waiting 4 FFL
I applied for my FFL in early July 2009 and i am still waiting in Nov 2009. The ATF told me in early Aug, when they came to go over the paperwork, that the hold up at that point is waiting for the FBI to process the fingerprint card. I was told in Oct they they are still waiting on the FBI.
Does it really take that long?
I hope to get it soon and I plan to call the ATF again to check on it.

It took 3 months to get my 03FFL and that didn't involved the FBI so I would think your time frame would be a little bit longer. Just remember, it's a government operation, it's a fact to get screwed up or take longer than expected. 0 -
Since when does the F.B.I. get involved with F.F.L. applications. I would think you could get a finger print done at your local P.D. level. 0 -
It took me 4 months to get a new ffl for change of premises.

Call them now and ask for the status.
I had a similar problem where they "misplaced" my application.
BATF didn't expedite the FFL once they found the application.0 -
