BEST .31 CALIBER?
Wondering what you think is the best .31 Caliber? .303 British; 7.65 Argentine; or 7.7 Japanese.

7.65 better gun as well as cartridge. 0 -
Define "best".
If you are calling the .303 a "31 caliber" then I'd say its the 7.62x54R, the so-called "30 Russian", which mikes out at .312".
This one is the oldest round still in active military service use.
Its been chambered in 19th century bolt action rifles, machine guns, and modern semi-automatic sniper guns.
Surplus Mosin rifles are readily available, and dirt cheap, and the surplus ammo is still readily available and relatively cheap (at least compared to all the others you mentioned).0 -
The best caliber or the best rifle?
The Argentine Mauser may be the highest quality rifle but I have witnessed an Enfield (fugly) rifle outshooting an M-1 Garand both in rapid and slow fire.
The Moisin 7.62x54 is the most powerful cartridge of the group but the rifle is rough compared to Mausers and commercial rifles.0
