old ithaca hammerless

i have an ithaca hammerless with a silver receiver, fine wood, beavertail forearm with ebony inlay and a serial # of 14xxx. what is the frame variation? i do not see any reference to this type of receiver finish, yet the water table is marked 12 and D. the barrels are damsacus and the patent dates are 1888 and 1889.
