benelli supernova question

hello, just picked up a like new supernova. never had one of these before. thing is, when you put a round in the magazine, the follower sticks up instead of returning to the bottom of the receiver. but when you cycle it, the follower comes down before the shell pops out of the tube and still cycles. thing is that you can stick something in there and pull it down before you shoot, but thats just not right! hard to trust. is this normal for this gun and has anyone experienced this problem? thanks

    My original Nova is like that and it has not caused me any problems. One thing you can do to lower it is hit the release (the bolt will release), then lock the action again.

    yea, that works. but it just shouldnt be like that. looking for another remeady.

    Are you sure it wasn't designed that way? Not trying to be a smart-@$$, but maybe it's a Benelli thing?
