For a mid-range scope, you may want to look at a Burris Fullfield II or Signature series. Cabelas' website will give you a good idea of price ranges, powers, reticles, etc. I don't shoot much at dusk, but the clarity is such that I've never had a problem seeing out to 200 yards in rain, overcast or snow.

I just purchased a Burris Signature Select 4-16X44. You could pick the fleas off of your varmint at 200 yds with this one. I have fired up to 550 yds with this scope. They make a version of this model with an illuminated reticle.

If you don't plan on going past 200 yds the 3-10X40 would probabaly fill your needs. They have an illuminated reticle version, I have the ballistic Plex reticle and would recommend it.

Opticsplanet.com has good online pricing for scopes. I purchased mine on the auction side from Discountgunner.com during a one day auction and saved about $20 bucks from the Opticsplanet price.
