To some extent it would depend on when the bbl was modified. Stan Baker died in 2003. (?) The business was taken over by a guy that "claims" to be his grandson. (he isn't) The quality of the work coming out of the shop today is no comparison to the original work done when Stan was alive. There should be a date on the underside of the Bbl. What other work was done to the Bbl? (back-bored, longer forcing cones?)

    good morning xxcross,

i am sure the barrel was reworked by stan baker as i bought the gun from a widow that said this was her husbands favorite turkey gun and he passed away around time you say stan baker passed.

i have called stanbakersports in seattle/asked about the job number for this barrel with no results. i was told it would take some research to find the old job number.

the only etching on the bottom of the barrel besides the stamped remington h is the job number and .735 which i assume is the backbore before the chokes are screwed in.

i see from your profile you are in the seattle area where the barrel was reworked so your comments are valued.

    thanks for your reply,
