I have a Western Field M550al Pump 12 Gauge (2 3/4" & 3") that I got when years ago... I would like to know if it is ok to shoot steel shot through this shot gun??

  Your gun is the same as a Mossberg Model 500A and no I wouldn't shoot steel shot through it.
