Bret need some help Model 12 Trench gun

I believe this to be a model 12 trench gun stock with the sling cut out but not sure. The thing that I'm really trying to find out is what RRAD stand for in the stock.

  What is the serial number on the gun? There are two very specific serial number ranges that the Model 12 Trench Guns are found in.

  I do not have the gun. I bought this at an auction with a whole crap ton of wood.

  Check into Red River Army Depot. I believe it was based in Texas.

  I don't believe that the butt plate is of the time when trench guns were produced. Winchester went to that style buttplate on their shotguns around 1957 I believe. Someone please correct me if I am in error? However, that buttstock looks like a transitional style that would be from the 1940s era which would make that buttplate a replacement.
