I have a Thompson Center rifle barrel in .375 JDJ for a G2 contender with a wood stock. The barrel has never been fired. What would it be worth?

Either check out the actual selling price on the on line auctions of used 22A's, or 60% of the selling price of new 22A's which ever is less.

Time are tough now money wise for lots of folks, a 22A is not going to be a hot seller unless the price is right.

willibob....due to economic times it is a terrible time to sell much of anything as it is a buyers market. Unless you have something special (and the Smith M22-A1 is not), you would literally have to give it away in today's market. Now, if you are a buyer it is a great time! I just attended a gun auction and bought $2k worth of rifles (including a rare 1895 dated Swedish Mauser, second contract) for $600 including buyers premium. So my advice would be to hold on for better economic times but the pistol your friend has is never going to be a high ticket item anyway. Good shooting!
