CAL 30 AP M2 Ammo

I was given a box of old military ammo. Its in a metal container that opened like a canned ham. It says 240 cartridges Cal .30 AP M2. As far as I can tell, its 30-06 armor piercing ammo. Does anybody know what its worth and can I legally sell or possess it?

  Yes it is legal to own and sell. I sold some on GB a while ago.
  Search the ammo on the auction side.

  If you plan on shooting it remember that if it is dated in the 40's or 50's it is corrosive. No problem with shooting, but you MUST clean you gun right after shooting. It will rust it bad just overnight.

  "that if it is dated in the 40's or 50's"............depends on the mgf. and the year, anything from 1955 (55) is non-crossive.

  For non-corrosive, prices are vary widely. But, it should sell for about the same as USGI M2 Ball, $.50 to $1.00 per round.
