Radom model 35

I have a late war Nazi proofed Radom mod. 35 that has Steyr proof as well. It has an A perfix to a 4 digit serial number, and has a Navey proof behind the mag. well. It does not have a take down lever. Everthing matches including the mag. Any ideas on the variation? Bast regards, Andy

    I am new on the forum and I am not able to manage pick's. This is a new purchase for me, it is item number (140668895), those pictures should still be up. Best regards, Andy

    From the serial number your Radom would be classified as a Grade III, Subvariation 1. Known serial number range Z2000-H8900. Here is a photo of one off the net, at this link.

    Does the Navy proof enhance the value? Blue Book does not show a Navy with an A prefix? Thanks Andy

    Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in comparing your Radom to the one on the link I gave you, it appears yours has been refinished, (Parkerized), and the grips replaced. Whoever would do this wouldn't think twice about stamping some phoney navy proofs on it.

    The picks have given you the wrong impression, the metal shows alot of machine marks but the finish is origional and in no way Packarized. Regards, Andy

    The pistol appears right in finish and parts, but that is not a Kriegsmarine proof. Either an old Polish housing was added or the markings were added. The normal KM marking is an Eagle/M, or in the case of late HSc's a small L.

    It gives the serial number range of the Parked Radoms. Compared the serial number range of your Radom to the serial number range of the known Parked Radoms.

    When I first clicked on the auction you won, the feeling I got was that you got a real sweet deal considering the condition of the pistol. Unfortunately when a deal is to good to be true, it sometimes really turns out that way. I have been in that position myself, unfortunately a number of times.
