win 94 centennial 30wcf grade 1

Im looking for info on a centennial model 94 grade 1 with 26" half octagon barrel ser# CN04779 it has fancy wood ,engraved (nickel ?) receiver marked 1 of 100 with gold inlay and a horse and rider on the right side. The top of the bolt is marked CA016.It has gold bands at the end of the mag tube and barrel.Also engraving on the forend cap .The left side of the receiver is engraved with scrolls and gold inlay around the edge.This is still in the original box.I can email pics.Thanks

    $750ish is my guess, commeratives have not much more value than the standard grade.

    This was a commemrative made for Winchester, by USRAC, in the New Haven plant. It is NOT a grade one. It appears to be the high grade, but would need to see pictures of the rest of the rifle to make sure. There was one above the high grade also that there was only supposed to be 100 made. Here is the listing from the Blue Book.

    Dealers are getting $750 for the 1894-1994 Trapper rifles. I would expect this one to do better in this time of wildly inflated USRAC prices.

    This is not a standard centennial model,the engraving is all wrong for that,also stock and metal finish.The ser# and box identify it as a grade 1,1 of 120000 rifle but every thing else suggest custom grade or possibly that winchester sold 100 plain non engraved rifles to someone for custom work ?
