S&W Sigma pistol trigger pull
Does anyone have or know of a way to reduce the trigger pull for the Smith & Wesson Sigma pistols?

Common question/problem.
Supposedly they can be vastly improved with some polishing of the internals (sear surfaces, etc), and a lighter spring.
One poster elsewhere suggests this (try at your own risk):

take apart slide put in bowl of alchohol (trichloethylene if you can get it)
take out let dry. now dissemble the firing pin (take off plastic stop on end of slide) be careful the extractor spring may fly wild on ya.
replace with wolff spring 3.5#. [Note, supposedly the Glock striker spring will work for this] dont reassemble yet
now where sear and slot in slide meet polish that slot. use an emery board. your just smoothing it out reducing some friction there.
next on the trigger connector do same thing on top of tabs coming off trigger connector.
now where trigger connector and slide mate. get some steel wool.fine steel wool. polish those surfaces too. remember were reducing friction not removing metal. 1 drop of oil in cam block (end of trigger connector) reassemble unit. dry fire LOTS

Edit: Also, just firing them a whole bunch ought to improve the trigger pull a good bit.
You can have a professional trigger job done by Novak, or others. Supposedly, these guns are highly amenable to a good trigger job, with it possible to get the gun down to a smooth 4lb pull if you know what you are doing (not that a pull that light is necessarily a good idea), mind you.0 -
The best way to improve the trigger on the S&W Sigma is to not buy one, or get rid of the one you have if you have purchased one. It should smooth out a little after 500 rounds or so. When S&W copied the Glock, they copied everything, including the trigger pull, though no parts are directly interchangable with the Glock...which Glock does have replacable connectorsin 3.5, 8 and 12 pounds, where the factory stock one is 5 pounds. The triggers were designed this way, and it is hard to un-design them, as parts would need to have the geometry re-designed to correct this, which would create issues with safety, reliability, and ultimately liability.

i had one a while back i took a couple of springs out and that reduced the pull a lot got the info on youtube0
