best laser sight for glock model 22 .40 caliber

any advice on the "best" (most reliable/cost -effective, etc) laser sight for a glock model 22 .40 cal?

  Crimson Trace laser grips seem to be one of the most common overall.
  
  IF I was going to put a laser on my guns I would personally use one that replaces the guide rod. It keeps the same fit and feel of you gun and will be accurate enough at the ranges a self defense gun should be used.
  
  I do have a laser on 2 of my guns but that is ONLY because they are built in with the light. I got a good deal on them. I would much rather have a light over a laser. You need to be able to 100% ID your target before shooting.

  thanks...went to site and they are "coming soon" for the model 22 and for $329...a litte more than i was expecting. i really like and value your advice on the light so as to ID your "foe " first..great advice!
