7.62 nato headstamp
I have some brass that is headstamped RG. What does this stand for? Radway Green? Is it berdan primed? I broke a decapping pin trying to deprime it.

Hi,
RG stands for Royal Ordnance Factory Radway Green, Radway Green, UK.
I don't know if it is Berdan primed or not. Get a flashlight and look down the case neck at the base. If there are two flash holes, it is Berdan primed.

Some of the Radway from the late 80's-early 90's was made by Hirtenberger in Austria. It is boxer primed, but has a smaller than normal flash hole.
The rest of the Radway I have encountered was Berdan.0 -
NATO spec requires a crimped primer. Extra pin recommended when handling military brass. Best, Joe 0
