model 1912 serial 45100

can anyone inform me of the age of this shotgun? 20 gauge... Thanks in advance for any help, Leif.

  According to Dave Riffle's book, a Model 12 in the 45100 serial number range would have been manufactured in 1914.

  please note that if this shotgun hasn't been modified it is chambered for the 2 1/2" 20 ga, shell. It should not be used with 2 3/4" ammo.
