"Concentric Circles", makes it sound Japanese.

Check out this link on Japanese Bayonets, for more information.

Japanese Arisaka probably, need a photo to tell for sure.

The scabbard definitely rules out a US Bayonet, the all metal scabbard and the loop (which is buckled into a frog or belt attachment) was not used on US blade bayonets.

Try looking on one of the on line auctions for "Arisaka Bayonet" or "Japanese Bayonet" and you will probably see one that looks like yours.

There are several variation, straight guard, curved guard, etc, and some collectors go nuts over certain arsenal stamps so I would not try cleaning it other than putting a light coat of oil on it. Value would anywhere from $25 up depending on collector interest.

That old Doughboy helmet might be worth some money too, I would have someone check it out 'cause some of those things bring big bucks.

Yes, it's Japanese. National Denki under Kokura arsenal supervision.
Reproductions of Japanese bayonets are about fifty bucks so draw your own conclusion.
