Forehand & Wadsworth .22 Sidehammers
Need some help with establishing value of these little guys. I have two. one needs a main spring and the other works good. They are marked with the F&W name on left side of bbl. along with patent dates of Sept.24 and Oct. 22 1861 .22 short cal. and the are side hammered. One has been renickled and the frame looks warped. (That's the one that don't function). The one that works looks great for it's age and shoots good. So, What have I got, Wallhangers? Junk? or worth something?
Thanks

They date to the 1870's, although uncommon not a great deal of collector
demand/interest, i.e. not going to be a big buck item.
Made for low pressure black powder cartridges, of that era. Not prudent to fire with modern made high pressure .22 ammo, other then perhaps BB or CB caps.0 -
Flayderman's Guide lists value in Good condition as $150 0
