Browning rifle scope

Did Redfield make the early Browning scopes or someone else? I have a 3x9 that I don't know when it was made but it came off of a very early model 70 Win. How many years were they made ?? Any help would be appreciated. ????

    Browning scopes were reportedly made by Redfield and sold under the Browning name. The 3-9x scope was one of the later scopes sold between 1965 and 1976.

    You are most welcome, that is why we are here. Value was listed at $150 to $300 depending upon conditon with NIB and all papers being at the $300 level.

    i believe the browning scopes were made by bushnell.they are the same as the bushnell 3200.nice scopes for the money.

    I agree with he dog. Redfield also made their beautiful little 3/4" .22 scopes fpr Browning.

    the scopes i am referring too came out about 2yrs ago i just noticed you were refering to the older browning scopes.

    I don't believe Bushnell was selling the 3200 series in the 60s - 70s time frame. The information I provided came from Stroebel. I gather Browning has never said who built the scope for them, but the knowledgeable money is on Redfield.

    Except for the name, my Browning scope is exactly like some of my older Redfields. I have it on a Browning A-Bolt rifle and it makes a nice looking and good shooting combination.
