HELP!! Hornady Ammo Purchased
I need some expert advice, I recently switched to Hornday ammo for my 30-06, shooting Hornday's Custom 165 grain SST (#81154) and placed a winning bid for an entire case of Hornady's Custom 165 grain InterBond (#81159). I just recieved the case today and as I opened a few of the boxes I'm noticing the casings look somewhat old and are marked "Frontier". Is everything on the up and up? Is Hornady using old casings for their ammo these days? More importantly should I be concerned??? Thanks for any and all help!!

Normal as long as the primers are brass color and not silver.

Hornady makes the frontier brand ammo headstamp. It's kosher. Probably just old run brass newly assembled but not old old either- I'd say a year or two? 0 -
I use Hornady's Leverevolution ammo in .30-30. Some boxes have Hornady headstamps, and some have Frontier. Don't worry about it. 0 -
This may not be the case at all...but if my memory serves me correct...YEARS AGO...Hornady marketed re-loaded ammo...I think called Frontier. I could be totally wrong on this...but for some reason...it's kind of a flash-back??? 0 -
Frontier has always been new mfgr ammo.
