buy in pa live in ny

i live in nys would i be able to buy a long gun in pa and walk out the store with it or have it shipped home[?][?]

    It depends.

    It's legal to buy a long gun in another state IF you appear in person at the dealer's business location AND if such a sale is legal in both states.

    But, when you consider that the PA dealer must know what guns are legal for you own in your city/county, that's asking him to do a lot of reading & interpreting just to sell one gun. I suspect that most dealers are just going to say "NO".

    i'm looking at a 50 bmg .Cabela's has it in pa. now all the stores i go to in ny say thay can get but will take up to six months to get.it legal in ny for now. but for how long [?].just trying to find some good advice

    I am sure it will be on NY list being a 50 cal so you better check on NY banned listings

    That 50 cal is perfectly legal in NY state for now, and you can buy it at Cabela's and bring it home with you. I would look for ammo elswhere though, as I am sure Cabela's is still riding the Obama wave, and asking $5.00 plus per round.

    When I bought my M&P15 from Cabelas in PA I had no issues; background check, paid and left the store with the rifle and then drove home to Delaware. I do not know if it would be any different for a NY resident, call the Cabelas you want to buy your rifle from and ask them specifically.

    if you clear the nics you can take it home. if shipped it has to go to an ffl here in ny.

    fishkill ny i'm looking @ bushmaster ba50 for 4995 or armalite ar 50 for 3149 i dont want to order .i dont like spending that kind of money and have wait 6 months. my local shop is saying they can get them but they haven't got them in . i don't care witch one but they keep giveing me the run around. i took a trip to cabelas and they have one of each.
