If you can posting pics is the best way to determine condition of the rifle.
From what I've seen regarding the Weatherby Mark V, which is their better line, the cheap synthetics generally run lower than the wood stocks. Then the carbon fiber/kevlar stocks and then the fancy and extra fancy grade wood stocks. If your Mark V has the plastic injection mold stock $800 in NRA Excellent condition. If it has the carbon fiber/kevlar stock then $1100. Again, in Excellent condition. You can figure about $50 for a small scratch and $100 for a big scratch/dent/chip deduction. Rust, grime and anything that might otherwise obviously detract from the condition.
What I gave you is kind of a general idea. What someone may offer you is something else. You could put it up on auction and not see a bid. Or they could see it as an opportunity and snag it up just because it's a Mark V.

Used scopes on used rifles tend to become "invisible." Certainly they have value but in my experience the two sold separately are usually worth (cost) more than puchased together. As to value of the Leupold, there are lots of Leupold 3X9s; is yours a Vari-X II or III? A VX I, II, or III. Or other Leupold model? You can check prior auction actual prices on GB or other sites but you'll find used Leupold 3X9s from $125 to $300+ depending on the model and age. 0
