German .22 kal rifle. gustloff-werke. Help with ID
Hello, I have a German rifle that was my wife's grandfathers. It is in fare shape and shoots exelent. I'm wanting to know more about this rifle. One person told me it was a training rifle, not sure. On the barrel is kal .22 LANG FUR BUCHSEN 210***. The breatch has GUSTLOFF-WERKE, Waffenwerk Suhl. One the right side is K.K Wehrsportgewehr, futher up are markings a small crown with a U in it, thena B, crown, U . Then crown B crown U 5,4mm. Stock has SAdNSDAP. Thanks.

Well, I can only say that "SAdNSDAP" screams NAZI Party. There is a Gustloff-Werke rifle on auction, right now. Is this one like yours?:

That article says that "K.K. Wehrsportgewehl" designates a training rifle. It also states:
"As far as the SAd.NSDAP, this is the designation for the Nazi paramilitary organization called the "Brown Shirts" or Sturmabteilung or "Stormtroopers"."

Yes, it is the same rifle. Mine doesent have the gloss finish. The only thing that is missing is the metal clasp at the front of the stock clamping to the barrel. 0 -
Looking closer the stock was cut short. About 2" of stock left after the strap hold down. 0
