I've been happy with mine. The first Pro-Hunter barrel I had was in 7mm Rem Mag and it did not shoot well. Tried various solutions and none worked. Sent it back to the factory and TC sent a replacement which shoots good enough for my purposes (1 to 1.5 inches at 100 yards). Probably could do better if I worked at pet loads. A friend has one in 25-06 and has been very pleased with accuracy and reliability. I think you'll have no issues with reliability or warranty. If you're looking for "one hole" accuracy that may take some work. Trigger isn't the best for bench rest work although I understand they can be improved. For a hunting rifle at reasonable ranges accuracy is plenty good.

    Hello Hawkshaw,

I have had several Encores, and still retain two. I have numerous barrels, and they all shoot good, and one in particular does extremely well. That is a SS 223 Remingtom bull barrel that is 26 inches long. It will take a 40 grain v-max, molly coated on top of 28 grains of WW748, and print dime sized groups at 250 yards on a calm day. The 243, and 30-06 are the lighter weights and will do around an MOA, while the 300 Win Mag will pring close to 1/2 MOA with its favorate loads. I also have a 308 pistol barrel with a 2-7X Burris on it that will break clay birds at 200 yards off the bench, and 45 and 50 cal muzzleloader barrels that have killed deer a little past 200 yards. My favorate though is the 15 inch 260 remington barrel with the 3-12x Burris...it will do 3/4 MOA or better on my regular Encore frame for which it is registered. The other frome is a Pro-hunter. I did work the trigger on the regular frame to my liking. Like has been said...they are plenty accurate for hunting, but don't expect to win any bench rest competitions.
