Not sure if this has been answered before. Can the Japan barrels be used on the Belgium receivers?? And, is it the receiver or the barrel that determines if it will handle 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells??
Any help appreciated........

  Yes, Browning receivers can use Japanese barrels and vice-versa; but only with the designated shell length. And yes, it is the receiver that drives the difference; must use a 2 3/4 barrel with a 2 3/4 receiver. Said another way, cannot use 3 inch chamber barrel on a 2 3/4 inch receiver.
