super comanche 45 lc/.410
there is a detachable choke on the super comanche, what is this for? if you unscrew to choke from the end of the barrel it is stamped 45 lc. is there another choke for.410 or is that choke used for both cals. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

There was a thread about this gun on another forum and according to the poster there, there is a .410 choke that is just that, a choke. There is also a shorter "choke" marked .45LC which seems to be more of a thread protector than an actual functional choke. The barrel is externally threaded and the .45LC choke protects those threads from damage.
The .410 choke on the Comanche is designed to counteract the spin on the shot column (so says the owner's manual) while the .45 LC "choke" has no such properties. So, using the wrong choke on the shot shells may cause some funny patterning.

Check out the auctions for a set of "chokes" for this pistol. I bought a pistol very reasonable missing one of the tubes and bought a set of tubes in auction for fair price also. 0
