Marlin 336 LTS

I just aquired a like new Marlin 336 LTS in 30-30 cal. I have several 336 Marlins and am somewhat knowledgeable on marlins but I've never seen one of these and none of my books have any information on them. Ser.# is LTS02184. What do I have??

  I think the LTS is a 16.5 barrel Texan model. Mabe called a Trapper [?] They were made for two years, 1988-89

  After researching another source I found the following: "336 carbine- 30-30 win only,16.25in barrel,5 shot tube mag.,6.5lbs. Total production = 2671, mfg. 1988-1989 only." After bolt and fingerlever removal and inspection under 10x glass I could not find any indiction that it had ever been fired. The only blemish I could find is a small(.375") "ding" in the stock. The blueing is 100%. Any idea of its worth? THANKS, DEG
