Trying to find out about my 22 cal. On bottem of grip it says Liberty firearms corp, Montros Ca. It has two cillenders, one 22 LR, one 22 Maxie Mag, six shot single act. #723124 has an HS 215 stamp bear in a circle stamp with 82 next to it. wanted to know some history and value. thanks G Lane.

    i have a 12 ga.with rabbit ears its marked on both sides of reciever ( us arms company ) its laminated steel and has all belgium proof marks. need any info on this shotgun thanks poppy

    On the left side of the barrel just forward of the receiver there might be some small numbers and letters stamped. This was a code used by Remington to give DOM.

    My reference gives a date of 1922 for the letters "xn". But the Sportsman Model wasn't manufactured until the 30's?

    The XN is the date code, and it tells me that your gun was manufactured in December of 1966.

    The various Remington Model 11's were manufactured between 1911 and the late 40's. I can't see how how their could be a Model 11 with a barrel date of 1966?

    With a code of "XN" it is either 1922 or 1966[?] Thinking about it a bit, it could be a 1930s gun with a 1922 barrel on it.

    barrel bluing does not match the receiver is more of a silver..barrel looks nicer..any way to tell if it all goes together??

    I believe that the early Browning A5s had serialized barrels, which should match the serial number on the receiver.
