serial number

I have an older Savage model 219 30-30 single shot rifle. I can't find a serial number on it. Is that possible?

  Check what? If you want to see if it is stolen, No there is not unless you are a LEO. If you are looking for DOM there are many, depending upon who manufactured it. Ruger, for example has all of their production data on-line and you can look up a serial number and find year of manufacture.

  Florida has a list of stuff reported stolen in Florida, if that helps... only 49 more states to go!
