Remmington Nylon 66
What's the differents between a black diamond and a white diamond models other than the color of the diamond.

Someone else may know this better than I but here goes:
There were four models of Nylon 66, as far as color goes. More if you consider type of magazine.
Mohawk Brown
Apache Black
Seneca Green
Black Diamond
Mohawk Brown was a brown stock, white diamond, and blued receiver and barrel
Apache Black was a black stock, white diamond, and chrome plated receiver and barrel
Seneca green was a kind-of green stock with blued barrel and receiver
Black Diamond was a black stock with black diamond in the forend and blued receiver and barrel
I've got a Mohawk Brown and Black Diamond. Seen plenty of Apache Black but never liked them. Seneca Green is a bit rare and pricy.

Yes. Values are iffy and some colors are now more scarce than others. I had 2 or 3 of these in my lifetime..similar to the snake charmer only no breakdown. All were good rifles. or the cliche'd word 'tackdrivers' As always, you can't go too wrong with a .22LR of any major brand.
As with any of this breed, any .22 ammo isn't that harmful if you get lazy on cleaning. You should just brush and mop out the bore and keep the ammo rod/moving parts/ejector lubed, and they go on forever. Fond memories of this one.0 -
I'm amazed at the popularity of these rifles. I remember when they came out. I always considered them a cheap plastic rifle. And had no interest.
Of course, only the stock was pastic, and they reportedly are good shooters. But are they popular because of being good shooters, or because of the plastic novelty factor?0 -
I have had a dozen or so, and all worked perfectly/ Amazing rifle, right there with the 10-22 in reliability..imo..nambu 0 -
They are all the same rifle other than color. And the two I have are pretty much "tack drivers."
However, there are other models related to these. Nylon 66 rifles load through a tube magazine in the butt, opposite of other tube mag .22 rifles. There was a Nylon 77, often confused with the Nylon 66, that loads from a clip, ten shot if I remember correctly, but they were never as popular as the Nylon 66. I had one and traded it for my Mohawk Brown Nylon 66.
Again, they shoot extremely well and you almost can't kill 'em. I've seen them where people have driven a pickup truck over them and still picked it up and shot it.0 -

The bolt was the model 10, 11 and 12. 10 is a single shot, 11 is the clip and the 12 is a tube. 0 -
