It's hard to tell without photos of the markings and Proof Marks. F N started making them in 1910. But when importation to the States started in the mid 50's by Browning, they started at one again. If yours is a Browning import it would date to the late 60's, before the 1968 Gun Control Law made them put adjustable sights and other gingerbread on them to make them importable into the States.
