Savage model 24
How does a person date the Savage model 24 22 over 410? Does anyone know what years they were manufactured? I have a couple with wood stocks and the barrel selector on the side. Any help will be appreciated.

I own a model 24.....o/u .22/20gauge I recently purchased a red dot scope that requires a 3/4 wide base scope mount to clamp onto. I'm trying to find a clamp on type of scope mount, without drilling into the .22 barrel, Any ideas? 0 -
made before 1968 when the law was changed to require serial numbers Value go to closed auctions on this site and look at the guns like yours that were SOLD not asking price. These guns do have SOME interest as shooters but are not HIGH PRICED and the sale will not buy you a new Car. It takes a very nice one in rarer calibers to bring over $500.00 0 -
Well used but not abused examples bring from $325 - $400, the condition of your should increase that value some. The Gun Trader's Guide Says they were made from 1950 - 1965. 0 -
Also check savage24.com for more info. Does yours have the side selector or the hammer selector? 0
