Used M1/M14 Trigger group

I'm building a NM M14 from scratch(just to say I did it) and I am at the point of buying the trigger assembly. I was wondering what fair market prices may be for online trigger groups? HR,TRW,SA,FA.Win.or would it be more cost effective to just buy every piece one at a time from one of the makers? Since I can't find what a whole new group is from any of the above mentioned companies I have no real base as to what to expect is a fair price.

    Suppliers of forged USGI parts for the US military stopped making them 45 years ago. Springfield Armory Inc currently contracts for cast reproduction parts, but that's it. Folks who had squirreled away quantities for investment or future projects ran out 10-20 years ago.

    You may be lucky enough to find a single manufacturer TG on the auctions, but I would expect to pay $350+ for it. Otherwise, you will probably need to buy the parts, one at a time, at auction, although you will find that Fulton Armory & Orion 7 may have a few.

    There was just a post in the Traders Board on the CMP for parts kits for sale, post a request.

    The last supplies of M14 parts at anything like reasonable prices were sold by the CMP, but that ended about a dozen years ago. If you want a TG I'd start bidding on the one that givette listed. Typical prices I've seen for a nice TG are in the $200 range, and a lot more for a nice TRW group.
