S&W 40 model 410...need info?
Any one have a idea what this smith 40 mod 410 is worth, I have a buddy needing $$ and he has one almost new in the case with 4 full clips. I don't need it but I would help him out if it's a good gun. I have never owned a 40 cal so not sure what it's worth...he needs 400. Any info would be appreciated

It was their basic, plain vanilla, alloy frame .40. I would pass on it for $400 unless your sure he will give you the money back, after he gets straight money wise. You might check the on-line auctions, but I seriously doubt these are selling for that kind of money if their used. $300 would be a lot more realistic as a resale value IMHO. 0 -
As usual, I agree with Rufe.
Smith 410 is sort of a generic Smith .40, with an alloy frame, ambidextrous safety, and a straight backstrap.
My impression of these is that the sights are actually pretty good, but the triggers are mediocre.
Lots of them have the limited 10 round mags, but I think 11 round post-ban type mags are probably pretty easy to find.
$400 is maybe a bit on the high side, but if the gun is really new in the box with 4 high-cap magazines, I don't think $350 is out of line.
