Aguila ammunition and brass

What country is this ammo manufactured? and is their .357 mag. brass suitable for hand loading? -Thanks.

    I have not used their .357, only their .45 ACP. It is first rate.

    aguila was set up by remingtoon wasnt it? should be good stuff. cept remington 22 ammo sucks

    I use it in .45 acp for my range ammo, and it is very good.

    Its made in Mexico, and its brass ammo should be fine for reloading.

    I'm not entirely sure what the relationship is between Aguila and Remington, other than that there is one. I think it is true that Remington set up the manufacturing facilities in Mexico, which are supposedly state-of-the-art. I'm not clear on whether or not Aguila is a subsidiary of Remington, but it might be.

    In terms of the .22 ammo, that's a side thing from this question, but in my experience, the quality of Remington .22 depends on the exact make. The bulk pack stuff absolutely *is* bad, but what do you expect for $0.02-$0.03 per round?

    The Remington target ammo, on the other hand, is fairly good, I think, given its cost.

    In terms of AGUILA .22, I've actually used a fair amount of it, and despite my initial low expectations have never been disappointed. Aguila, in particular, offers an interesting variety of .22 ammo, including some with extra-heavy 60 grain bullets (called "subsonic sniper"), two types of hypervelocity ammo that's faster the most of the competition, and primer-only ammo for quiet plinking/practice.

    Supposedly the Aguila target ammo is one of the best out there in terms of bang for the buck right now, but I've never shot any.

    Don't know about the 357, but the 9mm I have and shot and reloaded some, did fine.

    Made in Mexico. The .22 ammo is the only round that I have heard isn't up to par.
