Remington Rangemaster 37 22LR photos
Anyone know how to remove the bolt from this rifle?
Thanks! The last 4 photos show the bolt open, but no hole!

In the center of the reciecer just in front of the bolt face when it's at it's rearmost position, there is a small hole. (abt 1/8 in. dia.) Use a punch to depress the metal tab below this hole and slide the bolt out.
Perry's right, I forgot about pulling the trigger at the same time.
(it all seemed so straight forward)0 -
Hello On mine if you open the bolt and look at the top of the magazine there is a loading ramp about 1/2 inch long behine the magazine with the bolt fully open yoy can see a hole about 1/16 inch diameter take a small allen wrench or pin and press down on this hole and slight pressure on the trigger at same time the pin will move down and then you can the slide bolt out
EDIT
Hello the picture of your rifle look like it is an original early model 37 I don't know when they changed the barrel crown or the trigger bolt release. You may be able to take the barreled action out of the stock and then release the bolt stop. The stock has been modified by the shooter for his use in Target shooting and is a part of history . If you knew the original shooters name you might be able to find out if he ever shot the rifle at Camp Perry. I have the names and scores of every pistol shooter from 1972-2005 the years I went but might be able to come up with a date for a rifle shooter also.0 -
I opened the bolt but can see no hole in front of the bolt face?? Is it possible that someone put a rangemaster model 37 barrel on a generic receiver?? 0 -

Thanks Mike...do you know how the bolt comes out of these early ones?0 -
NO, BUT I SUSPECT YOU WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE STOCK AND 'TRIP' THE LEVER FROM THE SIDE 0
