Gewehrfabrik Danzig mod 2

Anybody familiar with this? It is an old W.R. 22 Lg. Serial 791. It is bolt action with a hammer of sorts. It has a checkered walnut stock. 3 Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Sorry I don't have any pictures. Can't find my camera but will post them as soon as possible. Thank You!

    You need to Post a Couple of Photos...Clear, Proof Marks and a consise discription....

    I have one of those... serial #383... i finally got it to fire but the barrel is slightly larger than a .22, so the case expands in the barrel. Any information on the actual caliber would be appreciated.

    I have #901 its an old german training rifle. Gewehrfabrik danzig (meaning arms/rifle factory Danzig) was based in Danzig Germany until 1918 at the end of WW1 when they stoped producing.Danzig is now Gdansk poland other than that i cant find much other info on this gun but heres a few pics

    The German machinery at the Danzig arsenal was disassembled and moved by the Poles to Warsaw, shortly after the end of W W I.

    This would mean that various commercial type rifles with Gewehrfabrik Danzig markings would be quite uncommon.

    It would be best if both "1923model12win" and "zagman_420", could post quality photos of their rifles. This would help for positive identification and perhaps valuation.
