I am thinking about buying a Ruger Mini 14 223 , is there any thing I should be looking for in this gun before I buy?

  Will the Ruger Mini 14 in .223 chamber and shoot 5.56 military? Or is there a Mini chambered for the 5.56?

  OIL! NO gun grease! I also use Mil-tec lube on moving parts. Stuff works better as it heats up.

  I use a small amount of lubraplate on the slide rails and a small amount on top of the bolt. Take the rifle to the range with oil on it shoot some rounds and then put the above amount of grease on it shoot it and it will quite the action of the rifle and run smoother.
